People often mistakenly consider UI and UX as similar concepts. Actually, there is a fine line between the latter. One has to do with the experience of the user and the other has to do with the visual interaction with a particular platform.

The above picture has a deep meaning, someone who gets it, may explain it in the comment section!

Firstly UI refers to User Interface and UX refers to user Experience. The name says it all.

If I were to explain this difference to a 5th grader, I would go like,

UI designing deals with the application of a trend and UX design or UX research deals with the study of what has already been trend.

For example, while low-fi-wireframing in UI,

we choose the features which are already preferred by the general public, for example, we choose Roboto for the majority text body and use very general, welcoming and soothing colors while designing any page. we use general layout features which are mostly based on our sources of inspiration.

On the other hand, while wireframing in UX, we keep our focus groups or target audience in mind even while choosing colors, layout designs, font size, aspect ratios, proportions, and many other minute details because we cannot take the risk of going with the trends for our focus groups may be different, given an exceptional case!

Afterall UX has always proven to be the most cardinal aspect for the initiation of any project! why not use it wisely?
